Morgan has a very expressive, almost child-like persona. He always seems to be bursting with enthusiasm. He’s also a truth-teller on stage. Morgan has a unique outlook on life, and a very warm presence. Morgan started performing standup in the late 1980s, the first career he was ever successful at. As a teen, he had tried selling crack but wasn’t very successful. His early characters included Fat Michael Jackson from the Projects. Tracy Morgan was a regular on Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2003, beating out comedy powerhouse Stephen Colbert for a slot on the show. On the show, he was known for playing goofy, hotheaded characters like TV host Brian Fellow.
