As the spring season approaches, the world is reminded of the opportunity for renewal and forging forward. Flowers begin to bloom; birds start to sing and most importantly our most cherished longtime spring traditions continue to live on. For this spring exhibit, we have designed an international celebration of Spring featuring four of the most renowned Spring festivals, symbolizing the resilience of spring and the continuation of growth and forward movement. The Chelsea Flower Show, The Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival, the Tulip Festival in Holland and Songkran, The Water Festival in Thailand are featured in each of the beds to showcase spring from all corners of the world. The story of each festival is told through flowers, water and artistic recreations using reclaimed elements as well as historical artifacts and references from each region.
