Originally performing heavy metal and hard rock music throughout the ’70s and ’80s with the band he fronted, Blackjack, and as a solo artist, Michael Bolton went through a profound stylistic shift in the late ’80s to pop ballads. It was this change that marked the genesis of a career that spawned 75 million record sales, nine No. 1 singles and eight albums in the Top 10. Throughout his career, he’s released 18 studio albums in all, along with 12 compilation albums, a Christmas album, a live album and 35 singles. In addition to the Grammys Michael Bolton has won, he’s also won six American Music Awards, making him a can’t-miss performer live on stage.
