Foundation Room Nightclub – Top Floor of Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, LAS VEGAS

On the top floor of Mandalay Bay, high above the House of Blues, Foundation Room stands like a magic carpet owned by a quasi-Eastern gentleman with a penchant for bluesy club spaces. We say "club spaces" because the nightclub milieu with its DJ booth, dance floor, table service layout isn't exactly the atmosphere at Foundation Room. It's more of a club in the sense of a social space for partaking in beverages and discussing culture over the beats of a booming sound system.

Washington Mystics at Las Vegas Aces

Mandalay Bay 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, LAS VEGAS

Currently known as the Las Vegas Aces, the basketball franchise began in Salt Lake City, Utah. The team moved in 2003 to San Antonio, Texas, and was known as the San Antonio Stars. After playing for several years, the Stars made it to the WNBA finals in 2008 but lost to Detroit. The WNBA and NBA Board of Governors approved the relocation of the San Antonio Stars before the 2018 season and after relocating to Las Vegas and becoming the city's first professional basketball team, the Stars underwent a name change, now known as the Las Vegas Aces. With the 2020 regular season beginning in May, head coach Bill Laimbeer will continue in his second year to build on the momentum of the Las Vegas Aces 2019 season, in which the team reached the conference finals but ultimately lost to the Washington Mystics.
